Freida B* started in 1994 because a few local skaters were searching for the skating dress of their dreams. What once started as a fun hobby quickly bloomed into a nationally recognized label. Our designs have been featured on national television, traveled to international competitions, and purchased world-wide.
Freida B*’s goal is to serve the recreational, competitive, or team skater by designing and manufacturing the highest quality skating apparel using the finest fabrics. All of our garments have a superior fit to ensure each skater looks and feels great. We have recently re-located to Worcester, Massachusetts. Freida B* offers dresses (both freestyle and dance), men’s attire, and Polartec® fleece warm-ups. In addition to ready-made apparel, custom designs are available by appointment. All of our dresses are carefully crafted by hand at our design studio, and our dresses are never mass produced. Feel free to contact us for more information! As synchronized skating continues to flourish, Freida B* has obtained popularity with many synchronized organizations across the country. Freida B* will collaborate with the team to create the perfect custom design.
Where is Freida you ask??? There is no Freida here. It was actually founded by Cheryl Downs, who was an executive designer for a boutique quality, art to wear design house. The name comes from the saying “Free To Be” with a Boston twist.
